How Stillpoint Multi Store Sync works
One hub. Every store. Perfectly in sync. Here's exactly what happens from install to your first cross-store order.
1. Install Stillpoint on your hub store
Install and activate the plugin on the main WooCommerce store you want to run everything from — your hub. This is the store whose catalog and Orders dashboard become the single source of truth for the whole network.
2. Connect a store
Add a connected store using a secure, signed API key exchanged between the two sites — no shared database, no FTP. Running WordPress Multisite instead? Skip the key exchange entirely and just pick a sub-site from a dropdown.
3. Target the products you want on each store
On the product edit screen, tick the stores that product should live on. Prefer working in bulk? Open the network sync matrix and check products against stores in a single grid — perfect for onboarding a whole catalog at once.
4. Publish or edit — sync runs in the background
Save the product as normal. Stillpoint queues the change and pushes it to every targeted store through a durable background job with automatic retries, so editing a product never slows down your admin screen or checkout.
5. Orders flow back to your hub
When a customer checks out on a child store, that order is pulled through into your hub's native WooCommerce → Orders screen, tagged with the source store name and the child store's original order number.
6. Manage everything from one Orders dashboard
Fulfil, refund and track every order from every store in the same place you already work. No logging into five wp-admins to find out what shipped and what didn't.
What you need
Stillpoint is built for standard WooCommerce environments — no exotic hosting requirements.
- WordPress 6.0 or newer on every connected site
- WooCommerce 8.0 or newer on the hub and each connected store
- PHP 7.4 through 8.3
- HPOS (High-Performance Order Storage) compatible — works whether HPOS is enabled or you're still on legacy post-based orders
- Outbound HTTPS access between hub and connected stores (standard on any normal host)
What if…?
What if a store won't connect?
Double-check the signed API key was copied in full and that the connected store's REST API isn't blocked by a firewall or security plugin. Stillpoint's connection test shows the exact HTTP response it received, so you can see immediately whether it's a key, permissions, or network issue.
What if a sync fails partway through?
Failed items stay in the queue and retry automatically with backoff. The sync log shows exactly which products failed and why, and you can trigger a manual retry for a single item without re-pushing your whole catalog.
What if two stores edit the same product?
Child stores are treated as sync targets, not independent sources for that product — the hub always wins. If you need a store to run its own pricing or copy, exclude specific fields from sync on a per-product basis.
What if I add a new store later?
Connect it the same way, then use the sync matrix to bulk-select which existing products should push to it. Nothing is sent anywhere until you tick a box.
